*Kawaii Non-Stick molds do not require vegetable oil or any other release agents during normal use. But it is ok to use a release agent such as vegetable oil with this mold type.
**Kawaii Ultra-Flex molds require a light coating of a release agent such as vegetable oil before pressing the clay in or they will not release the clay. A q-tip or tiny paint brush works great for coating your mold.
***Kawaii Food-Safe molds need to be cleaned with warm soapy water prior to use with food products. This mold type also works well with ALL Clays and Casting Materials as well. This mold type does not require vegetable oil or any other release agents during normal use. But it is ok to use a release agent such as vegetable oil with this mold type. Do not use the same mold for Food and Clays or Casting resins.
If you plan to use the same mold for both DO NOT! Chemicals can leach out into the mold making the food safe mold deeming the mold not safe for food!
Note: If using Sculpey III or other sticky clays you can place the mold in the refrigerator for a few minutes before you pop out the mini or you can bake them inside the mold. Once you remove the mini from the mold bake according to the directions found on your clay package.
